ABS Module Lab

1 year on our work — extend to 5 years for $150

A refurbished ABS hydraulic unit displayed on a dark plinth under a single spotlight

Every repair and every refurbished unit carries a 1-year warranty on our work, starting the day we ship it back. For a repair, it covers the repair we performed on your module. For a refurbished unit, it covers the unit we supplied with your vehicle's data written into it.

The clock starts on the ship date, not the delivery date, and it is tied to your RMA number. Keep the email that tells you your module has shipped: it carries the RMA, the date and the return tracking number.

Extend it at checkout

CoverageAddsPrice per module
1 year—Included
2 years1 year+$50
3 years2 years+$100
5 years4 years+$150

Same coverage as the standard warranty — the repair we performed — for the longer period, starting when we ship your repaired module back. Priced per module.

Extensions are sold per module at checkout, on the same form where you choose bench speed and return shipping. Choose your coverage when you Start My Repair.

What it does not cover

  • Damage from water, a collision, or a fire.
  • Electrical damage from outside the module — jump-starts, a failing alternator or battery, shorted wiring, or a welder used on the vehicle.
  • Incorrect installation, or a module opened or repaired by anyone else after our work.
  • Other parts of the brake system: sensors, wiring, the hydraulic unit, pads and rotors.

The warranty covers the module, not the costs around it. As our terms say, we are not liable for towing, rental vehicles or lost time. The warranty is part of those terms.

One more thing to check before you order: we are an independent repair company, and independent repair may affect a manufacturer warranty still in force on your vehicle. If your vehicle is still under its own warranty, read that first.

Before you make a claim

An ABS light has more causes than the module, and the warranty covers only our work. A few checks first can save you a shipment:

  • Confirm the module was installed following the vehicle maker's procedure, including any bleeding, initialization or calibration the vehicle requires.
  • Clear the stored codes and run your scan tool's ABS checks. Note which codes come back, and when.
  • Check the cheap causes: battery voltage, the ABS fuses, ground straps, the module connector and — for wheel-speed codes — the sensors and their wiring.

Making a claim

Use the form below with your RMA number, the codes that came back and what the module is doing now. You can also reply to the email that told you your module shipped, with your RMA. We reply by email with the next steps.

Shipping on a warranty claim is yours, both ways. You send the module to us at your cost and pay for its return; the warranty covers the bench work and parts. Pack it the way our mail-in instructions describe, with your RMA on the box.
