Our promise

Can’t be repaired? You don’t pay for a repair.

If the bench finds your module past repair, we stop and tell you before doing anything else. Then you choose:

  1. 1A replacement — a refurbished unit of the same family with your VIN, coding and configuration cloned onto it, from $950. You pay only the difference from what you already paid, and we confirm the amount with you first.
  2. 2Your module back — with the repair price refunded, minus shipping costs.

Either way, nothing that changes your price happens without your OK.

Refund stages in our terms →

One starting price for every unit family

Repair your own module from $499. Replacement — a refurbished unit of the same family with your data cloned on — from $950. Hybrid brake actuators and Mercedes SBC units are quoted first. Pick your family to see every vehicle that uses it.

Plus return shipping from $29.95 — the label to us is prepaid. Starting prices: anything beyond your service is quoted and approved by you first. Optional: rush repair +$100 (2–3 business days on the bench), warranty to 2, 3 or 5 years (+$50 / +$100 / +$150).

How it works

    1

Look up your module and order

Type the part number from the module label, or pick your vehicle. Choose a repair or a refurbished unit, fill in one short form and pay securely — your RMA number comes by email as soon as you submit.

  2. Gloved hands sealing a plain shipping box with tape on a garage workbench
    2

Ship it with our prepaid label

We buy the inbound label and email it to you. Disconnect the battery and remove the module — on some units just the electronic control unit, on others the whole assembly; send us a photo if you’re not sure. Pack it padded and drop it off.

  3. An opened ABS control module under a magnifier lamp while a gloved hand works on its board
    3

Bench repair — about a week

We read the module, find the fault and repair it. Past repair? We stop and ask: a refurbished unit with your data cloned on (you pay only the difference), or your module back with the repair price refunded minus shipping. Rush repair targets 2–3 business days.

  4. Gloved hands reconnecting the wiring connector to an ABS module in an engine bay
    4

Back to you, coded to your car

It ships back at the speed you chose, carrying your vehicle’s data, with a 1-year warranty. Plug it in, clear the codes, and run the ABS checks your scan tool calls for.

Repair

Your module, fixed

We find the fault on the bench and repair your own module — from $499. It keeps its VIN and coding, so it goes back in like it never left.

Replacement unit

Past repair? A refurbished unit that already knows your car

We read your VIN, coding and configuration out of your original and write them into a refurbished unit of the same family, then test it — from $950, and if you ordered a repair you pay only the difference. No advance exchange: your original module has to reach the bench first, because your vehicle’s data (VIN, coding and configuration) is read out of it and written into the refurbished unit.

Frequently asked questions

Do I send the whole ABS unit or just the module?

It depends on the unit. On many Bosch, Continental (ATE), Kelsey-Hayes and TRW units the electronic control module unbolts from the pump and valve block, so the brake lines stay on the car. Toyota/Lexus brake actuators, Nissan/Infiniti ABS actuators and Honda/Acura VSA modulators are one assembly. Your vehicle page names your unit — if you are not sure what comes out, send us a photo first and we confirm before you pull anything.

Is it actually the ABS module, or something cheaper?

Check the cheap causes first: battery voltage, the ABS fuses, ground straps, the module connector and — for wheel-speed codes — the sensors and their wiring. If those are good and the codes return as soon as they are cleared, or a scan tool cannot talk to the ABS module at all, the module is the likely cause. Not sure? Send us the codes, a photo of the module label and your VIN before you pull anything. Asking costs nothing.

Why not just buy a used one?

Many ABS modules carry the VIN and configuration of the vehicle they came from, so a used one can set codes or refuse to work. That is why a replacement from us is written with your own module’s data, tested on the bench, and carries a 1-year warranty.

Will the repaired module need programming?

A repaired module is your own module, so it keeps your vehicle’s VIN and coding. A refurbished unit is written with the data we read out of your original before it ships. Either way you plug it in, clear the stored codes and run the checks your scan tool calls for (some vehicles also want a brake bleed procedure).

How long does it take?

About a week on the bench once the module arrives. Rush repair puts it on the bench ahead of the queue — 2–3 business days — for +$100. Return shipping is your choice of ground, 2-day or overnight.

What if my module cannot be repaired?

If your module cannot be repaired, we tell you before doing anything else. You choose: a replacement — a refurbished unit of the same family with your data cloned onto it, from $950 (you pay only the difference from what you already paid, and we confirm it first) — or your module back with the repair price refunded minus shipping costs.

Do you offer an advance exchange?

No advance exchange: your original module has to reach the bench first, because your vehicle’s data (VIN, coding and configuration) is read out of it and written into the refurbished unit. That is what lets the refurbished module install like your own.
